Antares Routing Engines

Server application for route calculation between two or more locations.

The Antares Routing Server is a server application that provides HTTP REST webservice for route calculation between two or more locations. The server supports several map providers, so Qatar’s road network can be loaded from either TomTom or HERE map source. The routing service allows users to specify options that influence route calculation, as well as request additional information related to the route to suit specific needs.

The Antares Routing Server supports the following use cases:

Create applications that enable turn-by-turn navigation

Render geographical representation of route to display map

Specify transportation type for route

Set parameters for road types

The optimal route is planned on the basis of pre-specified average speeds. The service does not have information about realtime traffic and traffic events, so they are not taken into account during route planning.
